An update on the voter file situation

Together we have stood against the political establishment — and won.

Moments ago, as our lawyers were preparing to file a lawsuit against the Florida Democratic Party, we received a call from their Executive Director informing our insurgent campaign they were reversing their decision to block our campaign’s access to the voter file.

Here’s why this victory is important: not only have we shown the political establishment in Florida that our movement is serious, but we will now have access to the tools that will help our volunteers and staff defeat Debbie Wasserman Schultz. This was a very significant moment for our campaign, and one of the most important developments in the race to date.

Your $23 contribution will ensure we have the resources to continue this momentum as we approach our August primary. Your contribution now could make the difference.

I would like to personally thank Allison Tant, the Chairwoman of the Florida Democratic Party, and Scott Arceneaux, the Executive Director, for listening to the grassroots and recognizing this was the right choice for the party.

I also owe you, my supporters, a debt of gratitude.

We were told time and again it wasn’t worth taking on the establishment, but you refused to back down. You signed petitions, made calls, and raised your voice to demand our campaign get fair and equal treatment from the party. Now, our campaign is closer than ever to defeating our opponent and taking back our democracy.

Make a $23 contribution to our campaign right now so we can defeat Wasserman Schultz and transform our broken political system.

This victory shows what can be done when we all stand together to demand progressive change and basic fairness from our politics.

In solidarity,

Tim Canova

But I’ll stand my ground and I won’t back down”
