We’re hiring an ad sales contractor

Part-time position, San Francisco or remote

Timeline is looking for a self-motivated, well-connected ad sales professional to help us secure sponsored, native, and display deals. We will be hiring on a part-time, contract basis initially, with the possibility of a full-time position later this year.

At Timeline, we believe that it’s impossible to make sense of today without understanding the people and events that came before. That’s why we’ve made it our mission to create extraordinary stories and videos about the past and, in the process, change the way people think about the present. We are particularly interested in telling the stories of groups and communities that have been underrepresented in traditional accounts of history.

In 2016, we focused on honing our editorial product and building our audience. We’re now reaching millions of people every month and have begun building our advertising capability.

The ideal candidate will have spent at least two years working in media sales, branded content or a closely related field. We’re looking for someone who is excited about our editorial mission and can work closely with our editorial team. You’ll need to be able to work at least 15 hours per week, either remotely or from our San Francisco office.
