Feminism

Her husband is in jail

Her man beats her and says sorry for the pain

Her children’s dad passed too young

All these women

Their lives

Imbalanced by love

They give each other advice

To wait

To forgive

To go on with life dressed in armor dark enough to cover all the hurt and Shame from the people’s sword sharp words

I’ll tell you what

Watch me take control

Pay the bill

Tell you where to go

Ill let you hold the door and sometimes drive me home

A feminist allows you to be a gentleman

So walk behind me

Watch me March taller than my small frame

She should have never accepted disrespect, humiliation nor people’s judgment

I’ll show you what happiness is

And love my self enough to accept all the good life gives in sample size

Taste the sweet sweat that drips from working hard

But I’ll speak up when I hear wrong

Won’t laugh at your falls

I’ll lend you an ear when you don’t have words left to cry

I’ll gift you kisses tastier than Sangria wine

Femininity isn’t about laughing at every joke you make

Nor about payments of pleasure in all times you desire momentous nirvana

Fake smiles won’t hold up your tired mind

Worshipping nonexistent glory will leave you dreaming midday for another life near isolated isles

Take a drag

Lose yourself in a higher state

It’s the only way you can fall deep in sleep

Or at least it’s what you say to yourself to be pleased

In sober state

How do you really feel?
