As someone with weapons grade ADHD, I so completely commiserate with you on this. There are few things more frustrating and devastating to feelings of self worth than the consistent inability to focus on tedious required tasks.

Completing high “IC” tasks for those of us with ADHD is so mentally and emotionally exhausting that even thinking about them can change an eager and productive outlook into complete burnout within a matter of minutes — and burnout is a problem that even those without mental disorders can understand.

I wish I had more to add to this than “I hear you,” but this is something I struggle with on a daily basis, and I haven’t found any answers yet either except to slog through it as best you can and hope your spoons persevere.
