Human Emotions and Destiny 2

Yesterday I was working on a random story, in which one of the lead character interacted with the random female one – and while writing their dialogues, I reached to a block.

But later that block became my door to a whole new world.

(or a whole new blog in this case)

I would keep it short, it started when they talked .The conversation continued and she insisted on something which didn’t set well with him and he shunned her by asking:

“Tell me one thing: Why do you even care about it?”

That was the last sentence I wrote –and decided to focus on female character next move was for her to give explanation that she cares and while doing so I decided to put myself in her shoes.

…wrong idea.

I realised that I made male character way too rude, ruthless as they say and it felt like he shunned me rather than the female character . Of course, right after that , like every other way-too-character-attached writer the tears decided to appear.

Thats when the writer’s block hit me, apparently the words of my own character were taking a toll on me. I decided to put my pen down and give it a break.

“Are girls/women really that emotional or did I just made mine an over-emotional one ?

Should I make the male lead a little less rude?

But is it not how people usually react?

Is it really important for people to be ruthless with others ?

To be so direct ? What good will it do ? “

Countless thoughts, gloomy mind – it stayed with me for half day.

Later that day, in the class while listening to a lecture of my teacher(I wasn’t paying attention, sorry)

I recalled a certain Ayah which I was finding so hard to understand from days.

“And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, “Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority.” They (The angels)said, “Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we declare Your praise and sanctify You?” Allah said, “Indeed, I know that which you do not know.” (Quran -Al Baqra-30)

I could never grasp the meanings behind Allah’s words when angels asked HIM The Most Merciful about us, about the reason behind our creation.

Its clear in Quran that the purpose of a Human being is to obey – worship Allah-One God.

He Himself is Great so why create humans when they will surely prove and are proving angels right by spreading bloodshed (Syria, Palestine,Kashmir,Rohingya), by oppressing people, by being unkind to their own bodies – parents – orphans – friends.

The Allah Almighty continued:

“And He taught Adam the names – all of them. Then He showed them to the angels and said, “Inform Me of the names of these, if you are truthful.” (Quran-Al Baqra-31)

Then like a bolt of lightening it flashed upon me..

The reason behind our creation, is for us to explore – to go in depth –to get knowledge about Allah ..That’s what Adam(a.s) did. Allah teached him(a.s) names ..

It was a simple reason. To educate ourselves about universe, it’s wonderers and everything that Allah created. From the smallest star of the universe to its deepest darkest hole. By studying the ultimate secrets of human beings, psychology, biology and many other fields. By taking in account all the subjects that are possible for us like Algebra, Accounting, Economics, Engineering and much much more.

Remember the Hadith where Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

“The seeking of knowledge is obligatory for every Muslim.”

– Al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 74

why he made it obligatory ?

“They said, “Exalted are You; we have no knowledge except what You have taught us. Indeed, it is You who is the Knowing, the Wise.” (Quran-Al Baqra-32)

Because once a human get the key to unlock the treasure of knowledge , he or she will be able to. praise Allah more keenly and perfectly. She/He would be able to find the reasoning behind Allah’s laws.

So how does it linked me with the rude words of story character ?

Pretty simple, among many things our emotions –feelings get the best out of us.

Allah could make feelings and words the scale of our creation but he gave Worship and knowledge as our purpose and reason of creation.

Not feelings or emotions.

Why? Because the Most Merciful knews that people will be unkind to you, they will break you, hurt you unintentionally or deliberately. Consequently, your emotions and feelings will make you miserable, helpless and more clueless and finally will turn into a not so perfect exemplary son or daughter, wife or husband, friend or relative or even a stranger.

Thats why Sūrat al-ʻAlaq (Arabic: سورة العلق‎‎, “The Clot”), is the first surah that have been revealed at Mecca at cave Hira.

He knows all about us hence HE The Great God showed us the path in the start by making it simple for us.

“Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous.”-96:3

“Who taught by the pen.“-96:4

“Taught man that which he(Man) knew not.“96:5

“No! [But] indeed, man transgresses.”-96:6

“Because he sees himself self-sufficient.“-96:7

“Indeed, to your Lord is the return.“-96:8

Don’t think your research, experiments are enough to make you great. You and I the weak but astonishing human being need self sufficient through worship and need to return to Allah by keeping. ourselves busy in seeking knowledge – to keep away from people who will hurt us, , from words that can kill us, feelings that may burn us, from shaitaan who will surely lead us astray.

Is it easy to constantly remain on same path? No, Trials and adversity will surely come in your way but know that the One who gave you purpose and reason will be there for you, in each and every step.
