In the crucible of leadership, everything has value.

Nothing is wasted. Not with the right mindset.

Because lessons are everywhere. In each setback is the kernel of a future success. Even failure a gift.

I used to stress out about making manager mistakes. I felt the crushing pressure of perfection pulling me down.

I became afraid to act. Pretty soon my impact was diminished, my ideas diluted. Doubt crept in and I lost my taste for a fight.

That was, until I reframed my experiences. No longer were they judgements, or confirmation I was in the wrong job. Now they were allies. My own leadership learning curve. A necessary and welcome opportunity to upgrade.

The truth is, you never really know if something is good or bad. What seems like a disaster now might plant the seed that grows into your life’s work.
