With a 31–24 win over the New York Jets, the Miami Dolphins are back to the .500 mark for the first time since week 2.

But the game was much closer than it should’ve been.

The often mismatched Jets clearly came into Hard Rock Stadium with a lot of confidence, and a bag of tricks. The Dolphins were clearly caught off guard early.

With 9:29 remaining in the 2nd quarter, the Dolphins were already down 17–7. They hadn’t allowed a TD in 7 quarters, and 17 points were almost the same amount of the previous 2 Dolphins opponents combined.

From that point on, however, the Dolphins seemed to snap out of their funk.

The Dolphins scored 17 unanswered points en route to an eventual victory, and although it surely wasn’t the performance that the Dolphins were looking for, there will be plenty to look at and improve in the film room.
