Let the human need be the driver, not the technology
Somewhere along the line we have got it into our heads that our clients hire us for our Photoshop skills or ability to write code. This just isn’t true. This isn’t the real value we bring our clients.
Sharing knowledge and helping team members be able to make good technical decisions is more important than making technical decisions. Good tech leads trust team members, help and empower them.
