This is what you get when a writer grows up on the works of Bill Simmons and Chuck Klosterman (both excellent writers btw) and thinks that being a good writer means dropping pop culture non-sequiturs and snark amounting to nothing in order to comment on… well, basically nothing (a 2 minute trailer of a movie that isn’t even coming out for 2 months?). I had (and still do!) have high hopes for the Ringer, but this onslaught of articles about nothing written by smartass millennials chortling into their free trade lattes is obnoxious. Might as well go read Hello Giggles.
