A serial entrepreneur Elena Masolova invested $300,000 in the TokenStars project. Total investment in the platform reached $1.5M.

In 2008, Elena Masolova cofounded AddVenture, a venture capital fund which invested in online projects. In 2009, she launched Pixonic, an online game publisher. In 2010, she started Darberry.ru, an online coupon service which she later sold to the US-based Groupon. The cost of this acquisition was estimated at around $50M. In 2011, she made it to the cover of Forbes Woman Russia. At the same time, she launched BeautyBox.ru, an online cosmetics and perfumery shop. In 2013, Elena Masolova started Eduson.tv, a project in distant business education.

TokenStars, a blockchain company which Masolova just invested in, allows users to support junior sportsmen. TokenStars also want to build a decentralized system of scouting and promoting sports talents. According to the project’s website, token holders will be able to participate in decision making, for example, regarding signing and cancelling contracts with the players. Initially, the website allows to invest into tennis players, followed by football. Later they plan to add other sports verticals. Sale of the tennis tokens starts on 24 August.
