Several years ago, New York Public Library created Library Shelfie Day as a way to encourage people to share their love of books and libraries online. The concept is simple — snap a photo of a bookshelf (yours or your local library’s) and share it with the hashtag #LibraryShelfie.

When considering our library shelfie, we had one challenge — When you’re a thriving public library system with 20 locations, how do you select a photo that truly captures your love of books? The answer is that one shelfie just won’t do!

Here are a few of our favorite shelfies from the Toledo Lucas County Public Library.

We encourage you to share yours as well!

The world’s smallest shelfie, perhaps?
Today, we mustache you to check out these great books — and then snap a shelfie.
We couldn’t pass up an opportunity to take a Star Wars shelfie!
A rare book shelfie taken inside of our vault!
A shelfie for books on the mend.
And a shelfie for those who love very old books!
