Ugh. Can we please refrain from exacerbating the culture of victimhood? Allowing the national political discourse to be dominated by divisive blame games is fundamentally self-defeating. We as a country need to be discussing the best ways to build an economy that works for everyone, not finger-pointing and bad-mouthing convenient scapegoats.

But the truth is that these “back row kids” as you so euphemistically describe them have demonstrated a total disinterest in any conversation concerning shared prosperity or economic equality. All they really want is to have their self-pity and resentments validated. That’s all Trump ever offered them, and it was more than enough to earn their votes.
