Adpreneurs True, but clients need to go to agencies with a challenge, not a solution. Too often clients arrive at an agency doors too soon with a brief and solution already decided by the company. The agency then becomes a factory churning out work with no unique ideas or thought into a strategy that they believe in, as ultimately it’s been driven by the client.

I agree confidence is needed amongst agencies to get the information out of a clients brief, come up with the best idea and pitch it to the client as the one solution that will win. Offering multiple ideas can give a perception of concern in that your trying to cover your back, hoping at least one idea will be ok...
