Dissecting the Isolationism of Trump’s U.N. Speech
Much of the coverage surrounding President Donald J. Trump’s address to the United Nations General Assembly yesterday focuses on the room’s laughter after Mr. Trump claimed to have accomplished “more than any other administration in history.” Worthy of a chuckle for sure. Beyond this rather meaningless declaration, however, the rest of Mr. Trump’s speech should alarm even those who identify as sceptics of global integration.
