No, other readers see the madness in an exponentially growing population on a planet with finite resources.

The world already consumes significantly more resources than it can sustain every year, and the overshoot only continues to grow.

Our only hope to survive as a species is to curb exponential growth of population, and exponential growth of consumption. A lowered birthrate for a few generations isn’t going to result in “depopulation” and it is our only hope not to run face first into resource exhaustion, which might actually result in a major die off and actual “depopulation”.
