Why this is a good move for Freelancers Union members

The move for change and the new partnership with Empire enables our union to preserve the continuation of quality health insurance for freelancers. As the movement grows we now see the development of more primary care units around the country which can only encourage participation and growth within our unique community.

My personal experience with Collective Primary Care in Brooklyn has been life changing. With zero co payment I’ve had unlimited access to genuine and caring practitioners who understand the freelance lifestyle and have kept me on track through health coaching and the choice of both holistic and conventional care.

Their goal is to keep us healthy so we can keep growing and moving forward to improve our lives while supporting ourselves and each other as a community. As this unique health care model expands across the country, more of us will get involved and ultimately the cost of health care will level out.

I’m choosing one of the new insurance plans for these reasons. It may cost slightly more than other options available on the exchange but I’m keeping healthy, while keeping my freelance lifestyle.

Most importantly, together we are building a movement within our Union that will change the way we look at health care forever.
