This sounds childish and careless for a respected VC firm that manages over $1 billion (of other people’s money). “Fuck Trump” because the VC is made up with a group of immigrants?

I agree immigrants are a big part of entrepreneurship in US, but you’re misrepresenting nearly half of immigrants who support Trump’s idea of having a strong border and a rigid process of legally accepting foreigners.

We’re now seeing a number of problems in Europe due to loose borders and weak screening processes of accepting foreigners. Although, I applaud your decision to fund immigrant founders’ visa, I’m certain you’ll be very picky about who to fund (as a VC should be): Get the founders applications, listen to their pitch and turn down the majority of applicants. Demand > supply.

This is same for immigration. There are so many people who want to come to US for a fresh start and a better life. Even qualified engineers can get rejected from getting their H1 visa due to high volume. Sometimes they wait in line for years. And here is this article with ‘Fuck Trump”, “Fuck the wall”, almost trying to suggest that foreigners can just walk into US because there will be no wall unless Trump becomes our president.

This time of the year, it’s easy to get publicity and press by insulting a presidential candidate, with something like F*ck Trump. However this will not solve any real problem in illegal immigration.
