Note: This guide is a step-by-step tutorial to show you how to start playing TopManager Alpha. You can follow the steps to start the game after Open Alpha launch.
To participate in the game, you need to collect at least 3 TopGoal NFT game cards in order to earn rewards. You can now purchase these NFTs on Binance NFT marketplace or other decentralized NFT marketplace TopGoal partners with. TopGoal will also support its own marketplace later.
The first gameplay of TopManager alpha version is a PVP based season mode, known as Top League. During each Top League season, managers will earn daily $TMT rewards based on their daily rank points with a 1 to 2 months vesting schedule depending on the season length. In addition to the daily rewards, manager will have a chance to win a certain amount of TopGoal NFT mystery boxes/special edition NFTs if they rank higher in Top League season alpha when the season ends. The total reward details will be announced once TopManager alpha goes live.
In addition, TopGoal NFTs with higher rarities will enjoy higher player ratings, hence providing managers a larger chance of winning matches. Each match will consume a certain amount of manager’s energy as well as stamina of the players participating in the match. The manager’s energy and player stamina will recover automatically, while you can also add energy and stamina by spending $TMT.
In the future releases, the player skill system and card merging system, will also be introduced where managers can level up and evolve their player cards for special skills with advanced in-match performance by consuming a certain amount of $TMT. $TMT is the only utility token within TopGoal gaming metaverse. The team will introduce more potential utilities of $TMT in the future.
Steps to play TopManager (Note: the following instructions are based on the testing environment of the TopManager Alpha game, please check the final Alpha release version for references.)
1. Go to TopGoal and log in to your account. Click [Game] you will see TopManager portal and then click [ENTER].
2. Go to [DETAIL] to check the instructions for how to earn rewards through participating in TopManager alpha game. The daily bonus means the total daily $TMT rewards for all managers who participated in the Top League (please check the stats in alpha version for final reference). End of season means the length of the season.
3. Click [SQUAD] to check how many cards you have now. Click [+] if you want to buy more energy. (The manager’s participation in PVP matches will cost a certain amount of energy, which will be restored over time or purchased directly with $TMT.)
4. Click [EDIT FORMATION] to select your cards and form a team. Each player attributes are divided into five categories: passing, dribbling, shooting, interception and tackling (For goalkeepers: goalkeeping, anticipation, commanding, composure, and reaction). The distribution of players’ initial attributes is determined by their characteristics in career, and also determined by the growth path of players’ attributes when they level up later. Higher rarity players will have higher initial attributes with higher growth rate. You can only place your players into specific positions according to their careers. Or you can just click [AUTO SELECT] to let system AI choose the lineup for you based on the squad you own.
First, you can choose your players on this page.
Second, click “CHANGE FORMATION” to change formation on this page. According to your players’ positions, you can choose the formations and tactics wisely.
Third, you can set the tactics on the TACTIC SETTING page.
About the player: each player’s attributes are divided into five categories: passing, dribbling, shooting, interception and tackling (For goalkeepers: goalkeeping, anticipation, commanding, composure, and reaction). You can check their levels, positions, stamina and player ratings in player profile. The “position player” means how many players (cards) in this position you own right now.
5. After you have completed the previous settings, click [SAVE FORMATION] and go back to the previous page. The “Team Rating” is based on your player (cards) ratings.
6. Final step: Click [START MATCHING] to start the game!
7. During the match, you can skip the match if you don’t want to watch the entire match process. (You can testify and adjust your formation and tactics by watching the game process or the match reports later)
The product team is also working on a 3D based high quality version of the match play in the future release along with player skill features.
8. You can check the match results in match reports.
Again, this is just an example and please check the game rules before starting your journey in TopManager.
