As a grad student, life can get stressful. In my effort to better take care of myself, I started meditating in the morning and incorporating mindfulness as a weekly practice. There is something magical and exciting about growing older, learning more about yourself, and testing your limitations. However, it is incredibly easy to hold yourself back and get in a slump by preserving routines that are comfortable to us despite them not being either progressive or healthy to our current lives.
