Recent Conservative Moves Make Us More Like The Terrorists

On March 30, 2016 Donald Trump proclaimed that abortions should be made illegal and women who get an abortion should be punished. More recently, on April 27, 2016 a small Alabama town made it criminal for a person to use a bathroom that does not match the gender of their birth certificate. The penalty for getting an abortion can vary from state to state and for entering a bathroom dressed or surgically altered as another gender is $500. This hateful rhetoric and law making further increases the anti-gay and anti-transgender movement fueled by fear and hatred of those who are different.
America is known for it’s freedom and the people demand it- just ask the Tea Party. The United States is founded upon freedom from persecution for religion and more recently marriage equality and equal rights for LGBT citizens. Progress has been made in the last decade to support people who have love for the same gender or wish actually change their gender- and that is their right and choice as an American citizen.
It seems as we gain more traction to be progressive in the mainstream there are splinter groups in the country who wish to take those rights and freedoms away and in essence, merge with theSharia Law-type control of the real opposition to America- the terrorists.
