I’m a big fan, although I disagree with his obsession with childhood experiences being the source of all adult behaviour, among other things. I love the term prosthetic gods, though. It is true. And the basis of this article is to play with that very idea in a provocative way.
I mean, we hold our smartphones—which essentially connects our brains with every other internet-connected human’s brain on the planet and gives us access to almost all information in the world (extremely godlike)—an inch away from our brains. Why is the idea of just moving the damn thing another inch inwards and have it inside the brain instead? That’s the question and idea that I want to provoke with!
