Tracy Brighten, why do we “need” money to live ?

I agree in theory Thomas that humans don’t need money to live (we managed well enough in the past, as you say), but in practise I’m not against monetary systems or capitalism. I am, however, against corruption, greed, lack of transparency, and over-consumption and its impact on health and the environment. We certainly need to reconnect with nature, but I don’t think that means we have to turn the clock back in all respects. I like to think that people and nature can flourish in a capitalist society. We just need to stop being greedy and selfish and think more about the greater good, if that doesn’t sound too trite.
