The world is full of trash…
Tim Boucher

I’ve recently started to think about the waste that I’m responsible for and it makes me uncomfortable. I agree that it’s easy to think we’re solving the waste problem when we pop stuff in recycling. When you see huge landfill sites, you wonder how some small countries with large populations can dispose of waste without harming the environment. And if we drop litter near rivers, or at the beach, or it gets taken away by the wind, vast areas of floating waste accumulate and pollute the oceans. There are some interesting blogs on #zerowaste, one I found recently by @treadmyownpath. The idea of fitting our annual waste into one jar is daunting. It’s hard to reduce our negative impact all at once, but it’s worth starting to think about how we might do so!
