Like you Mary, I try to avoid ready-made vegan foods and eat mainly whole foods. I agree about health and money-saving benefits. By keeping the cupboard and fridge stocked with vegan staples, it doesn’t take long to knock up a healthy dinner. Mine wouldn’t win any gourmet prizes but they’re tasty to me! I’m not sure where you live Mary but can you get the Alpro dairy-free range? Their vanilla pod ice cream and also the coconut soya ‘yoghurt’ are delicious! I’m in the UK, but if you’re in the U.S you can get vegan cheeses from Miyoko’s Kitchen that look amazing!
