Menopause, The Last Taboo
Sherry Caris

Thank you for your honesty and humour Sherry. I’ve hit the perimenopausal period, and only now can I understand why my husband’s mother used to fan herself and sigh with annoying regularity even in winter! As someone who has always placed great emphasis on health and fitness, I’m feeling at an all-time low. The sudden, overwhelming hot flushes you describe, mood swings, muscle weakness, and disturbed sleep all add to the challenges already before me as an expatriate with a deep longing to go home. I love your fighting spirit and I’ll continue to fight my internal battles with that same resilience.
