While reading this post I was thinking about how uncomfortable indecision is. Also, how empowering it can feel when finding resolution from conflicting ideas.

I went back and reviewed your 1–4 list and was reminded of Festinger’s Cognitive Dissonance Theory. Taking decisive action and committing relieves the discomfort.

The added accountability measure makes a tremendous difference. Corte’s burning the ships makes one steadfast.

This formula certainly moves one from here to there. Goal accomplished.
