We often write about how to get free amenities such as complimentary breakfast, $100 hotel credit, and potential room upgrades, but here we’re writing about one our favorite ways to use these benefits — at high tea in London during your hotel stay.
How does it work?

How much will these benefits cost me?
If you’re already staying at these properties, about 80% of the time the price is the same, and sometimes may even be lower. There is no additional fee to book with these benefits and you can still get hotel loyalty points, just like if you booked direct with the hotel.

Our favorite high tea in London is the Pret-a-portea at the Berkeley London. This hotel offers a designer collection of cakes and fancies inspired by the world’s finest designers. Like the other properties, your 75 GBP room credit when you book with Travel with Terra can be towards the high tea here, priced at 52 GBP per person.

5. Luxury afternoon tea at Montague on the Gardens
One of our best value afternoon tea amenity offerings is located at Montague on the Gardens in London. At this luxury London townhouse hotel overlooking a private garden, the Afternoon Tea menu includes:
“A selection of finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones with Devonshire clotted cream, preserves and an array of tempting pastries. Enhance this delight even further with a choice of traditional, flavoured, aromatic, fruit and green teas, together with fine coffees and warming hot chocolate for the winter months.”
With room rates starting on the lower side of luxury properties at around $250/night, the complimentary tea amenity at 64GBP total for 2 guests, in addition to the estimated 40GBP breakfast, adds up to almost 50% in extra value for a 1 night stay.

Bottom Line
If you’re planning on indulging in a high tea in London and staying at one of these properties, this is just too good of a deal to pass up.
The value on a shorter stays is even better as the amenity is usually once per stay, so the extra value on a 1-night stay is a greater percentage of your total booking.
