Is Trellise free? Yes. Trellise is free for students and groups no matter how big or small.

Can I see a quick demo overview? You sure can. Just check out this 6-minute YouTube video on how to get your group started on Trellise.

Can I connect my Trellise calendar to the calendar on my phone? Yes. You can have your phone’s calendar show any of your events on Trellise. Just accept the prompt on the app.

Will my members see my message even if they don’t register for Trellise?

Yes. Members that you’ve added using their phone number will get a text message and members you’ve added using their email address will get an email with the contents of the message. No confirmation or registration required. Just add them, start posting and everyone will see it.

Is there an Android app? Not yet. But our site is optimized for mobile use. That’s just fancy talk to say that our web version will almost feel like an app when you visit it from an Android device.

What’s the difference between Open, Closed, and Secret groups?

Closed Group — Anyone can search for the group, but must request permission to join it (good for greek organizations or any group that requires application/dues to be a member).

Open Group — Anyone can search for and join the group without permission (good for groups of enthusiasts with general interests).

Secret Group — Nobody can search for the group. Every member must be added (good for study groups or roommate chats)

How do you delete a post? There are two people that have the authority to delete posts in a group: the person that created the post and anyone that is a leader. Just click the drop-down arrow on the post and delete it.

Why does the app have more features than the web? Trellise is a mobile-first company. That means all of the newest features are released to the iPhone app first. For now, the web version has all the same group communication features found on the phone (create group, add members, post, comment). What is not yet available on the web is events, jobs, and profile.

How do I find my group? You may search for your group using our iPhone app. It’s at the top of your groups list in the left side bar. Otherwise, ask your leader to add you.

Can I attach documents to my posts? Yes. You can attach documents when you create a post from the web version. They will be available to your members in the app, online, and the emails sent. Attaching documents is not yet available in the app.

What do you do with all the data? All of your data is safe and secure with us. We don’t share or sell it without your permission.
