Excellent article! Very good points. Also, thank you for including people who identify as female as well. I don’t really have a set gender identity, but I know that if I am presenting as female, I have attracted A LOT more aggression and violence directed towards me. It’s pretty obvious.
Most of the time, I present as male. When I do so, I have not been attacked or been in a fight since the late 1990’s. In times where I dare to show some of my inner femininity on the outside, I have been attacked several times. Men’s attitudes towards women and femininity in general are a huge problem.
We cant be subtle in calling out toxic masculinity. Subtlety is not part of their language.
