Cotswolds Natural Capital

Triage carried out a natural capital evaluation of the Cotswolds National Landscape, providing an up-to-date baseline of the landscape’s habitats and biodiversity networks (grassland, wetland and woodland), carbon storage, farming, natural flood management and water quality.

We also identified opportunities for enhancing each of these ecosystem services, providing land managers, landowners and advisors the evidence and insight needed to plan for and deliver practical on-the-ground nature-based activities — all in the context of the Cotswolds Nature Recovery Plan.

As well as providing accurate facts and figures needed by the AONB team for writing their Management Plans and Landscape Character Area assessments, our interactive dashboard provides a resource for the AONB to engage and communicate with farmers and other stakeholders.
