Since October 2021, through our partnership with the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) Uganda, Triggerise has successfully connected over 27 000 adolescent girls (aged between 15 and 19) with over 29 000 sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services. Together, we’ve surpassed our initial target of reaching 20 000 adolescents. This encouraging success has been achieved by working with multiple community-based organisations including Reach a Hand Uganda, Tackle Africa, Education Connect, and Somero Uganda.

As trusted members of their own communities, these mobilisers effectively communicated the benefits of sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services and joining the Tiko platform. As a result, the girls accessed services from 21 clinics and six pharmacies in Arua and Kampala, including Reproductive Health Uganda, PSI Profam, MSI Uganda, and independent local pharmacies. 95% of eligible girls rated their experiences with these providers, of which 84% gave a five-star rating.

After this successful first step, we are looking to build on our impact and use the momentum of the investment made so far. Connect with us about how you can be part of this highly impactful intervention that’s transforming women’s lives in Uganda.
