I would totally do this! In summary, my horse was actually free (an ex-racehorse who at 9 years old was past her prime for racing), but the ongoing costs are pretty expensive (like, almost as much as my mortgage each month) and I think it’d probably depress me if I calculated them out. But…worth it? I’ve owned my horse for 16 years!
