Building An Energy Efficient Property
Considering the current state of earth, it is important to build energy efficient properties. But, do you know what are the possible ways?

Nowadays, people are more concerned about environment and are considering to invest in eco friendly building plans. In the past, some people used to think that constructing energy efficient commercial building was impractical and expensive. Today, the same people recommend others to construct a green building as they have understood its real meaning.
Let’s take a look at the advances made in commercial construction to achieve green goals.
Green Roofs and Walls
Energy efficient building does not mean to focus on building structures and systems. There are other ways to achieve energy efficiency. Creating a garden outside your building would be a great idea. It can reduce the cooling and heating costs.
Living walls which are also called biowalls can reflect solar radiation and improve the quality of air by releasing oxygen and absorbing carbon dioxide. Biowalls are known to absorb rainwater and keep the building cool.
Passive Solar Building
It is a form of technology in which sun is taken as an integral part of heating, cooling and lighting the building. It does not require any device to run and is very cost effective. It all starts with determining the sun’s path as the rays strike the building. The building is constructed considering the sun’s path, solar radiation, type of climate the area experiences, wind patterns and humidity.
Dual Plumbing Systems
It is designed to conserve water and store rainwater for irrigation purposes. It may also be used for drinking purposes with unique filtration process. The system separates the stored water into two types. One is potable and the other is reclaimed. Potable is safe for drinking, washing and cooking. On the contrary, reclaimed is used for gardening and irrigation purposes.
Chiller Boiler Systems
Typical HVAC technology uses forced air to cool and heat, but chiller boiler systems are hydronic. It means that the system uses water to keep the temperature at normal level. Chiller boiler systems are generally attached along the water supply tanks of a building.
Recycled And Sustainable Insulation
A building must be insulated properly to achieve green goals. Luckily, there is a lot of options in the market. Insulation can be done using recycled plastic bottles, newspapers and denim jeans. It may seem surprising that denim insulation is done to treat the walls as fire retardant.
These simple changes have been made to modern constructional sites and most of the builders are looking forward to include them in their building project.
