My Personal Node.js November 2018 Plan

Stealing a little bit from Ember.js and a lot from Visual Studio Code, here’s my personal November 2018 Node.js Plan:

Issue tracker grooming

We have almost 900 open issues and pull requests in the main Node.js repository alone. There are 37 more open issues and pull requests than one week ago! 😱

That’s more than most projects but less than some others. Most of the open issues and pull requests in Node.js are ignored, stale, need help, should be closed, one of those…. It’s time for Triage-A-Thon 2018!

My ambitious goal is to get the number of open issues down to 660 or less. I won’t be able to do it alone. So I’m enlisting the help of other Collaborators where/when I can. (Hi, Anatoli and Trivikram!)

One thing I hope to be able to do is to close more feature requests. We have 121 open feature requests. Ones that we wish to do, we should do them. Ones that are unlikely to ever happen should be closed. Or at least that’s my opinion. We’ll see what happens when I start closing a few….

That’s it! See you in early December when we’ll see how this goes.
