Day 217: Trump on Trump: He’s Dynamic

Donald Trump has decided to review his old speeches like Roger Ebert would dissect a summer blockbuster. Except, since Trump is talking about himself, it’s coming across as if Steven Spielberg bragged about how incredible the screenplay, cinematography and editing were in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Unhappy that no one — apparently even on the right — is using his preferred vernacular for his speeches Trump has chosen to try and dictate the narrative himself. He calls himself “strong” and “dynamic,” which are words one may hope someone else calls them, but is typically not what one calls themselves.

Like all good reviewers, sometimes a good editor is truly what’s needed.

(Reminder: Trump once bragged about knowing the best words.)

Moviemaker/reviewer Trump was also prepared for the confusing, unneeded follow-up passion project, published the same minute as his previous review.
