Off the top of your head, do you know what the least expensive item in your wardrobe is? How about the most expensive? We’re not simply asking how much, or how little, you shelled out upon purchase — we’re talking about cost per wear.

It’s an easy approach, really. Every time you wear an item, it lowers that item’s cost per wear. For example, let’s say you bought a $200 pair of jeans, and wore them twice a week for two years until finally retiring them. That’s 204 wears, which breaks down to ($200 ÷ 204) approximately 98 cents per wear.

So next time you’re cleaning out your closet, or questioning whether you really want to splurge on that new jacket, ask yourself, “How often did I, or will I, wear this?”

Clothing is an investment, and when it comes to maximizing your return on that investment, remember what our CEO always says, “The most expensive piece of clothing in your closet is the one you never wear.”

Ready to build a long-lasting wardrobe with a low cost per wear? We’d be happy to introduce you to one of our stylists.
