N-Power is a job creation and empowerment initiative targeted at young Nigerians between the ages of 18 to 35. N-Power helps to address two key challenges in Nigeria: a high level of youth unemployment, and inadequate public services. It also helps to stimulate the larger economy. The N-Power programme has two broad groups: the Graduate Category and the Non-Graduate Category. The Graduate category is a paid full time volunteering programme where volunteers work for 2 years. Volunteers in the Graduate Category are those who have graduated from tertiary institutions like universities, colleges of education, and technical and technological schools. Through this category, the government seeks to provide jobs for 500,000 young Nigerians.
