Money Doesn’t Make You Happy— You Do

Money is a tool for experience. How it is spent is a window into the mind of the person spending it. As pointed out in the article, there is ample opportunity to turn money into things and experiences that have very little lasting spiritual benefit. If you are distracted, materialistic, and spiritually poor, how you spend money will reflect that. But the opposite is also true. If you have the money to spend and your mindset is one of enrichment, then money can certainly be a tool for improvement and empowerment. It is not that the money or even the pursuit of money is the problem. The problem is the individual’s spiritual baseline and how they spend money is simply an expression of that.
