Elliot is the ultimate unreliable narrator. The show has conveniently established that there are gaps in his memory, and therefore in our narrative. There is as much suspense in what has already happened as what will happen. Esmail peels back the layers with each episode, first giving us the origin of the Arcade then of Mr. Robot’s genesis and plan. If you’re not enjoying this season, you’re not paying attention. Wake up sheeple.
