Turvec News — Home Quality Mark from BRE and the new cycle storage requirements
December 2015 saw the release of the Home Quality Mark (HQM) by BRE. HQM succeeds The Code for Sustainable Homes, that was scrapped by the government in March 2015. HQM will revolutionise how consumers choose their homes whilst helping house builders demonstrate the quality of their new developments to homeowners and tenants through a simple five star rating system.
HQM takes into account the level of cycle parking provided when assessing the quality of a home, there are 6 credits available for cycle storage facilities. We are delighted that Turvec products can help house builders differentiate themselves and contribute towards the attainment of HQM star rating in new builds.
