Priscilla the Namibian Dessert Queen launches “JUICY”

It was an emotional night for Priscilla the Namibian Dessert Queen. She has had a remarkable journey leading up to her releasing her 1st album JUICY. She has been part of Song Night since 2015 and in the same year , won the Namibian Talent show scooping the N$25 000.00 grand prize!

Her album #Juice is all Afro Jazz, R&B, Afro Pop with a Kizomba track and a gospel track. “Each song is about my journey, where I was and my emotions in that time.” Say Priscilla. An advocate for a positive body image, Priscilla calls herself Malva pudding celebrating the fact that yes, she is a big girl determined to conquer against the “norms” set by the entertainment industry.

Supporting acts were Song Night founder Lize Ehlers, Elvis Uritura and the Broken metronome; all part of Song Night and Suba for Angola. One of the supporting acts Elvis Uritura known as the Gospel Guru of Song Night Namibia took us to church with his powerful song. “Priscilla is the first female artist under song night to release an album. Knowing Priscilla personally, the journey of her life, I am so inspired. I am routing for her to make it big.” Elvis is also working on his gospel album with Namibian producer Arafat Muhuure that we can expect to launch sometime this year.
