My fave “hack” of the above is to write about what I learned so it’s embedded in me. I started asking my students in writing for social media and of late, a class on Hitchcock’s Lessons of Suspense to write at the end of each class what they learned. It was interesting to see that those who articulated a learning from the class were able to use it best in their final projects. Hmmm. (Nicely written, Larry.)
