There are bigger problems expecting schools and religious groups to behave as the police, judge and jury between two individuals before an investigation is complete. The school, in it role to protect students, puts out guidelines that students choose not to follow putting themselves in danger. The school has a obligation to protect not prosecute. That is the role of law enforcement relative to serious criminal offenses such as rape.

I would also note that had the students adhered to “a community built around faith” few of these “date rape” type situations would occur. The umbrella is not the reason people get wet. Its when they step out from under it. I understand your comments about Patriarchy and it is certainly a problem when it gives rights to men that are denied to women. This is not occurring here. There is no law saying it is OK for men to rape women. None, zero, zip. There are however laws that say crimes must be proven and this applies to both men and women.
