While I do not know about the intricacies of funding our penchant for killing children, the claim that less than 3% of the services provided is absolutely false. Planned parenthood produced this number with an intent to mislead by separating ALL services, no matter how minor or secondary, and simply extracting the number of specific abortion procedures. So if a patient comes in for an abortion and gets a vaginal exam, std test, consultation, blood work and an abortion procedure, they received 1 abortion out of 5 services …all of which were related to the abortion procedure. If I recall correctly abortion and abortion related services account for about +60% of the services provided by Planned Parenthood. In addition many Planned parenthood offices do not even offer extensive services for pregnant women outside of abortion. One interesting video featured a talk show host calling several planned parenthood offices seeking services for a pregnant mother. They informed the host that they could provide abortion services but really did not have much for prenatal care. Go figure…..
