Ronaldo Extends Real Madrid Stay

World-class footballer Cristiano Ronaldo completed an astonishing five-year contract extension with reigning Champion’s League winners, Real Madrid.

The former Manchester United starlet wad quoted as saying he would ‘love to finish his playing career at Real,’ adding that he wants to ‘keep going until 41’.

“I want to stay here and finish here,” Ronaldo said. “It is not my last contract, I want to keep going until I’m 41 but now the most important thing is this special moment that makes me happy and my family, too.

“I’m at the best club in the world. Everyone knows what my thoughts are. I want to continue being the best. I want to wear this shirt with pride. I’m sure I’m going to contribute the same over the next five years as I have in my time here, scoring goals and winning titles.”

Ronaldo, 31, just recently returned to club football m following a nail-biting Euro 2016 tournament; with home country Portugal; capped off by becoming tournament champs in a 1–0 final against host-nation France. In spite of team captain Cristiano being carried of on a stretcher early in the final.
