Three Biggest Benefits of Visme, The Graphic Design Platform!

Recently, I’ve been trying to really get good at something I’ve always dreaded — Graphic design. While my degree is in Communications, working with things like Photoshop and Adobe Creative have always been my Achilles’ heel, and on that I know I’m not alone. “As humans we can’t help but to be visual people,” as Kimi Frazier puts it. So, with that in mind, I’ve been trying to find the best tool for someone like me.

Enter Visme:

Visme is a visual design platform, that gives users the flexibility to build graphics from the ground up or simply rework existing pieces to fit their respective projects. The platform is free, but for the purposes of this review, I was gifted a chance to use a premium version of the service.

I’ve only had a couple of weeks to work through some projects of my own using Visme, but I’ve found the tool offers a lot of intuitive design features and helpful hints. There’s a lot to touch on, but for the purposes of time, I’ll keep it to my three favorite things about Visme.

The Simplicity

The saying “Less is more,” is something you’ll find designers echoing across the field. Even Medium is a perfect example of that, with the simplistic design that makes blogs like this so easy to create. Visme takes that sentiment to heart in both design and interface.

Being able to make this a painless and as seamless a possible is something I look for in a graphic design platform, and Visme definitely hits that mark from a layout perspective. The drag-and-drop interface also gives it a low bar for entry, allowing anyone with simply the eye for what they want to quickly and easily bring a variety of images to life, in just a few strokes of the trackpad/mouse.

The Versatility

In today’s world, it’s not uncommon for a Graphic Designer or a Marketer, or really anyone in a company to wear many hats. That’s especially true if you’re a solo act. So, that might mean you need to create graphics for blogs, marketing materials, social media, and just about anything else. That can be a hassle for some people, especially those without a graphic background.

Visme to your “Many hats” dilemma.

That’s where Visme comes in. Visme allows you to create virtually any kind of graphics you’ll need. Presentations, Twitter graphics, infographics, and everything in between is at your fingertips. In fact, it’s especially helpful if you’re new to any of these roles. Which leads me to my absolute favorite thing about Visme…!

The Community/Resources

The thing that sets Visme apart and ahead of similar platforms, for me, is the community and resources made available to users. When I first learned about Visme, I struggled with inspiration. Thankfully, the Visme Learning Center is full of material to get your creative juices flowing, as well as teach you the subtle nuances to take your craft to the next level with their platform.

Videos, articles, and blogs abound, including a personal favorite featuring a slew of color combination ideas. But along with all the resources for how to make better graphics, they touch on so much more, including Digital Marketing advice and how to better present. They even have their own E-books!

Honestly, the amount of content available from Visme is staggering, especially on a free-to-use platform. For someone like me, who enjoys learning, and is still in the beginning stages of their career, I consider it quite the boon to come across. That alone is enough to make me an evangelist.

But that’s Me

Those are the things that I happen to enjoy most about working on Visme. However, as I’ve said before, I’m just a beginner. I’m also not a Designer by trade, so my preferences and desires on this kind of platform will be different from a lot of peoples’. So, with that said, I ask this: why not try it for yourself?

I think the best way to learn about platforms like this is to hop in and play around for yourself. Visme makes that painless, with plenty of inspirational material, made available right on your dashboard when you log in. So, you’ve got a bit of time. Give Visme a shot and make something cool!
