Very few drones offer more than 10 to 20 minutes of battery life, so an easily swapped battery can give more flying time without hassle. Easily swapped batteries tend to be a feature of most expensive drone models, with a spare battery typically costing more than $100. Cheap drones usually have built-in batteries that cannot be swapped out. Most budget models use the equivalent of a cheap webcam capturing low-resolution videos stored in a memory card. The expensive ones offer high definition video and photography with cameras such as GoPro attached.
