How you can help:

If you’re a UCR graduate…

Re-connecting with fellow Highlanders and developing relationships with elected leaders while advocating to build a better future for UCR is a great way to “give back” to your alma mater. As a participant in California’s economy, you can personally attest to the opportunities you’ve had since graduating from UCR, and your desire to help more young people realize their dream of a college education.

If you’re a student..

As a Highlander, you are an agent of change — dedicated to make a difference in the lives of others. Because of you, UCR was named to the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll. Let’s continue this momentum, and bring your voice to Sacramento to help keep UCR accessible and affordable for all students. Shape the conversation with lawmakers and let’s bring our Highlander pride to the halls of the State Capitol!

If you’re a parent…

As a parent, you believe in the value of a college education and you’ve made many sacrifices to ensure your child has the opportunity to succeed. As part of the UCR family, you can share your story with lawmakers about the difference UCR is making in your son or daughter’s life. When the state invests funding on public higher education, tuition is kept low, and student financial aid awards become larger and more available for low-income and middle-class California families.

If you’re a community advocate or business leader…

UCR generates an annual $1.4 billion economic impact through teaching, research and community service. But our greatest contribution is preparing a diverse next-generation workforce of doctors, entrepreneurs, engineers, scientists, teachers and public policy leaders. With your advocacy support, together, we can ensure that UCR continues to be a catalyst for innovative growth and local economic development — now and in the future.

Cost and Accommodations

There is no fee to participate. The UCR Alumni Association and the campus hosts most meals. Participants are responsible for their own transportation and accommodations. A limited number of rooms have been blocked by the Alumni Association at the at Sheraton Grand and Hyatt Regency. Rooms subject to availability through March 21.
