Before 2008 we had what you would describe as party politics on campus.

Well there’s nothing new in your narrative, even though some detail is left out. However you seem to be misled by the title, there’s surely various ways to deal with racism and misconduct on campus, and I don’t have to outline each one of them to you. Management chose to go for the most restrictive one clearly for their convenience. Get to the core of the arguments made here. The element of fear among students, arbitrary rules and restrictions, disorganization of the student population, powerless ineffective leadership etc. Let’s not say because some were pro-reitz4 and some were destructive therefore management is always right. Isn’t the effect of the current system harming the student community? Are all the harms and hindrances highlighted untrue, if so how?
