Meet the Founders: Blume Laboratories

What are you studying?
I’m a Kinesiology major with a minor in Human Nutrition. Now I’m also planning to add a minor in Business Management and I should be graduating in May of 2018.
What’s your startup?
Blume Laboratories provides a holistic “vapor ball” solution for men suffering from low sexual performance.
How has this summer been going so far?
It’s been good, and fun for sure! This program really teaches you a lot, I didn’t have a lot of business experience coming into this so it really gave me a new perspective.
How is working in a co-working space?
I like it alot, we get to interact with everyone so a lot of ideas a spread around. It’s also a great waste of time when you’re bored so you don’t feel loneliness and desperation inside. 😂

What’s your favorite aspect of the program?
It gives you an existential crisis. I remember the RED Labs information session I went to, a previous founder spoke about how your ideas are really challenged and that’s held up to be very true. It’s much better to challenge those things here than to go out in the real world, with no support, and fail. It’s okay to fail, but it’s much better to do it here.
How would you describe the culture?
Everyone supports each other. We all get along so well and everyone stands of for each others companies.
What is your favorite guilty pleasure movie?
Criminal Minds. I watch it while I do everything, especially seasons 1 through 3 when Gideon is still there. I’ve watched the complete series more than once, I just love that show.

What’s a random fact about you?
I didn’t think I would be making vapor balls. Helping men with erectile dysfunction was the last thing I expected to be doing. 😂
What’s the plural of falafel?
Falafel.
Finally! You’re the only one that’s gotten that right I think.
I only know because I recently looked it up. 😂
Anything else you want to add?
I really feel that if you have an idea you should really go for a program like this. It challenges your idea, and it helps you turn your idea into a reality. It’s okay to be wrong, people are scared to fail, but at the end of the day you have to be willing to go for it. So I advise everyone to really go for it. I think we can change the world and make it a better place if we’re willing to put ourselves out there. Lastly, to Benson, I will install Linux onto my Mac.
